Enjoy amazing vistas in the Stavanger region

Living in the Stavanger Region, a place surrounded by boundless beauty, with fjords and mountains and just gorgeous vistas all around, I have had the opportunity to combine my love for travelling and photography, and now share you some of the top sites to admire some amazing vistas in the Stavanger region.

1.- Lysefjorden

2.-Preikestolen (the Pulpit Rock)

Preikestolen (the Pulpit Rock) is one of the most visited attractions in Norway, and one of the most photographed sites. So set some time in your visit to hike, take a helicopter ride or take a cruise along the fjord and admire this popular rock formation 604 metres above the Lysefjord!  A fantastic nature experience!. Hike through easy terrain to admire a gorgeous view of one of the main fjords in the region, visit Dalsnuten. More information about the hike, here.

Old Stavanger
A short stroll through the streets of Old Stavanger, comprising 173 wooden buildings from the turn of the 18th century will take you back in time and reward you with lovely views of one of the most charming areas in the city.  Rensegnements en francais, ici.

The Jæren Beaches

Klepp boasts the longest sandy beaches in Norway, 11 km in all, and long stretches of sand dunes with their own special flora and fauna. Lots of spellbinding vistas await!

A short 15 minutes bus ride, will bring you to this historical site at Møllebukta or the tree swords. This monument is located in a beach and commemorates the unification of all Norway into one kingdom in the viking period.

The colorful street – Øvre Holmegata

Perhaps the most colorful street in all Norway. Beautifully decorated with different hues and colors. A perfect place to meet friends for a cup of tea or coffee.
