Dalsnuten is the perfect option for those who enjoy hiking and want to admire some spellbinding vistas of the norwegian fjords.
For us the hike was a perfect option as we had nothing planned for the day and the sun was out and shining. In addition we had some guests at home and we decided that it would be nice both for them as well as for us to hike to Dalsnuten.
It is located just 15 minutes by car from Sandnes, or 42 minutes away from Sandnes by foot.
By car: Drive all the way up to the cafe (flag of the trekking association), park your car and then hike 40 minutes one way.
By bus: Take bus number 18 from Sandnes to Gramstad, then hike uphill until you find the cafe (flag of the trekking association), from there start the hike to the top (40 minutes)
You will find arrows marked with a red T showing the way.
You can take the most direct path to the left, which is more steep or take the right option which is more flat and will go along the lake and a nice forest, and it will just get steep at the end.

There are also some of these along the way helping mark the path:
The first part of the hike is easier and you get to enjoy these vistas, there are some nice lakes along the way.
The second part of the hike, past these lakes is a bit tougher as it is a bit steeper. Bring good shoes and something to drink for the hike. It is approx a 2 hour hike, including a 20 minutes break to enjoy the view, take some pictures, and get some food/water.
The highest point: 324m.
Reward will be not only making it to the top, but also admiring some awe-inspiring vistas of the fjord Gandsjorden connecting the cities of Stavanger and Sandnes.
Get ready for a memorable hike!
